Electronics repair

Power supply, PCB and touchscreen repair for laser and IPL machines

A machine that is dead, rebooting or showing a blank screen is often an electronics fault, and often repairable for far less than a replacement. We diagnose power supplies, circuit boards, touchscreens and footswitches and quote before we start.

Electronics faults we diagnose and repair

  • Dead machine or no response when switched on
  • Power supply failures and tripped fuses
  • Capacitor and high-voltage section faults
  • Control board faults and component-level repair
  • Touchscreen dead spots, blank or flickering displays
  • Footswitch and pedal faults
  • Key switch, emergency stop and interlock circuits
  • Mains inlet, wiring and connectors

Please do not open a laser or IPL yourself. Some parts hold dangerous voltages even when the machine is switched off. Leave that to us.

Repair beats replacing, most of the time

A new power supply or board from the manufacturer can cost a fortune and take weeks. Repairing the fault is often quicker and cheaper. Where it is not, we tell you, and we tell you before you have spent anything.

Power supply repairs start from £450. Ask about handpiece repair too if the machine has one.

What electronics repair costs

Power supply repairs start from £450. Other electronics are quoted per job. Diagnosis visit £95, labour £75 an hour, parts at cost plus 25%. All prices exclude VAT. See the full price guide.

My machine will not switch on. Is it the power supply?

It might be, but check the basics first: the mains socket, the plug fuse and any emergency stop. If it is still dead, call us before you open anything.

Can you repair the touchscreen?

Often we can repair or replace it. Send the make and model and we will confirm whether the screen is available.

Do you do firmware or software updates?

Software and licensing normally sit with the manufacturer. We fix the hardware and tell you if the problem is a software one.
